SCAD style, Rima Suqi, Roberto Faraone Mennella, Amedeo Scognamiglio

13 Apr In conversation with Amedeo Scognamiglio and Roberto Faraone Mennella at SCAD

I was invited to moderate a conversation between jewelry designers Amedeo Scognamiglio and Roberto Faraone Mennella at Savannah College of Art and Design. It took place in the theatre at the museum there, and was honestly one of the more fun of these types of events that I've ever been involved with. You can see Amedeo's cameo line here and the duo's line of fine jewelry here....

08 Apr Marta Ferri’s collection for Molteni, in Elle Decor

Marta Ferri is known to some as the go-to fashion designer for the Milanese jet-set, and to others as the head of fabrics for Molteni. For the Milan fair, Ferri created a capsule collection of women's styles, made out of Molteni's fabrics, that will be used to accessorize their ever- popular closet systems. 02 Apr Chelsea Hotel door auction in How To Spend It/The FT

50-plus doors from the Chelsea Hotel in New York City will be auctioned next week via Guernseys. It's such an incredible opportunity to own a piece of history - some of the doors on sale led to rooms once occupied by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Tennessee Williams, Humphrey Bogart, Bob Marley, Jack Kerouac, Jackson Pollock, Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, Isabella Rossellini, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, Andy Warhol, Liam Neeson, and Brian Jones. You can read the full article here and preview the pieces at Rico Maresca Gallery starting April 5th....

20 Mar Faena’s Tierra Santa Healing House in Luxury Magazine

Faena, undoubtedly one of the hottest hotels in Miami today, gets a lot of press for its decor, restaurants, and owner who dresses head to toe in white. More people should be looking into the Tierra Santa spa. Located on the mezzanine level of the oceanside hotel, it has a gorgeous hammam and DIY all-marble wet spa water circuit, but also a new menu, that incorporates more healing treatments, developed for the spa by a (female) shaman. Read more at Luxury's current issue, available online here....

20 Mar Chable Resort, Mexico in Luxury Magazine

Chable, a resort located about 45 minutes from Merida, Mexico, opened last year. Designed by Paulina Moran, it's one of the best resorts, all-around, that I have ever visited. Each room is a free-standing modernist house with its own pool, hammock, indoor and outdoor shower, etc, the Hacienda on property dates to the 1800s, and the spa is beyond. You can read more here....

Rebecca Gardner's holiday pop up shop at the St. Regis New York

21 Nov St. Regis New York’s holiday shop in How To Spend It

Every year, the St. Regis Hotel in New York City has a fabulous, but temporary, holiday shop. This year they enlisted event designer Rebecca Gardner, who has produced some of the hotel's famous midnight suppers (most recently for fashion designer Jason Wu), to create a pop-up featuring her favorite things, which include Venetian glassware and Elizabethan collars for dogs (really). Read more here, and if you can't make it in person, you can shop it online here....

12 Nov Feature on Barneys, Bergdorf’s, Saks, Bloomies and Dover Street Market in Departures

A kind of major shopping story with loads of insider tips (from the likes of Jill Kargman, , Maya Jankelowitz and Jordan Roth) on navigating what can seem like daunting spaces. Did you know that Barneys has a concierge who can get you the hottest reservation in town? Or that Bloomingdales plays Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" throughout the store every morning when the open the doors? Or that if you buy any two skincare products at the La Mer counter in Bergdorfs, you get a free facial? I didn't either, until reporting this story. It's in the November/December issue...
