Folegandros may be one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. The 12-square-mile western Cycladic island is one of those hard to get to, but worth it once you get there destinations, reached only by boat or helicopter. Often referred to as the anti-Mykonos, its year-round population hovers in the 750 range. Cruise ships do not dock here. There is no Uber or Lyft. But Folegandros (which, according to myth, is named for the son of King Minos of Crete) does have a dreamy new resort, that they say will introduce the island to the discerning Greek island hopper. See all the gorgeousness here.
